  • Instructional Designer, SiTEL

    The instructional designer is a critical leader in our movement to catalyze and support learning that advances health. The instructional designer will be responsible for designing and developing online and blended learning solutions for a diverse population of learners. The individual will work closely with a team of subject matter experts, digital media specialists, clinical educators, and project managers to create innovative, engaging, and interactive education. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and driven individuals who have a proven track record of taking initiative and working collaboratively to accomplish organization-wide goals. They will also have a deep understanding of the principles of instructional design and adult learning theory, experience with eLearning authoring tools, and a strong background in education. Candidates must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and awesome at what they do. Clinical experience is not required.

    Educator II, SiTEL

    The position works closely with faculty and other subject matter experts to develop simulation curriculum and progress the effective use of simulation-based training among assigned faculty. The incumbent is assigned to specific faculty members and/or departments where issues are moderately complex. The position requires a clinical background combined with understanding of simulation technologies and adult learning techniques.

    Education: Associate’s degree in healthcare related field plus more than 10 years of relevant job experience or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
    Prior Experience: Five to seven years that includes developing and implementing clinical training and education.
    Certification/Registration/Licensure: None required.

    Coordinates and instructs American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Life Support training programs for healthcare professionals.

    Assists in the clinical and marketing efforts of the Clinical Simulation Center. Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.

    Maintains instruction/training aids and equipment. Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams and committees. Participates in meetings and on committees as requested. Participates in other quality education programs for healthcare providers, including Code Blue Preparedness, In Situ, Advanced refresher courses and conferences. Performs other duties as assigned. Plans and instructs Continuing Education Courses for healthcare professionals and lay rescuer within the AHA guidelines. Plans, coordinates and instructs AHA advanced courses including, but not limited to, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

    Project Manager II, SiTEL

    The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize SiTEL projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle. Bachelor’s Degree in the field of healthcare, information technology, or project management.  6-10 years work experience in a project management capacity. PMP Certification is required within 6 months of employment.

    Simulation Specialist Sr., SiTEL

    Under the direction of the Clinical Simulation Center (CSC) Operations Manager, provides technical and operational oversight for the Clinical Simulation Center to ensure participants and Simulation Center customers receive quality services in simulated health care education. Assists with the supervision of Simulation Specialists, and makes recommendations and reports findings for all operational processes.

    Assists with the design of new simulators and simulator technology. Recommends solutions or suggestions for improving the CSC operational model. Conducts orientation for course participants to the Clinical Simulation Center, to Human Patient Simulators such as SimMan and orients them to set expectations of performance in simulated environments to support a positive and safe learning experience. Installs software and hardware upgrades and maintains functionality of manikin components as directed by manufacturer support. Maintains knowledge of current simulation solutions including equipment and best practices.
